somehow i managed to find a way to not neglect my lj by posting a mix i made last night.

i was inspired by air france's wonderful 'no way down ep' and tried to go for a dreamy electronic sound, which i think turned out quite well, but you'll be the judges of that haha.

and oh yeah i'll try to get an icon post up by the end of the month.

i've decided to begin to upload mixes regularly as it's fun to pass the time and i really should update this thing more often.

the first one i wanted to make is mostly a summer album, i wanted youthful and fun songs. it was kind of a coincidence that most of the songs were about love haha.

mostly indie/electronic, enjoy :]

so we finally have been given a date, no doubt's next studio album will be released in early 2009, EIGHT YEARS AFTER 'ROCKSTEADY'. that's like, half of my life. far too long. solo gwen has her moments and everything ('cool' and 'the real thing' are two of my favourite songs ever) but she never matches up to no doubt. now that they appear to be working on it i can really get excited for this.

it's hard to predict what it'll sound like but i'm praying that gwen's pregnancy will inspire her to write something similar to 'return of saturn' *cough*perhaps similar to the prefection that is magic's in the makeup*cough* ^_^. it'll probably be a mix of ska and 'rocksteady' though. or who knows? they could be trying a totally new direction. either way, i'm totally biased and i'll end up loving it anyway, i mean i managed to love 'hollaback girl' for like, a week. speaking of ear rapes i hope pharell williams and gwen had a falling out, i really, really do. yeah 'hella good' was all kinds of fabulous but 'yummy' and 'breakin' up' were crimes against music. he's such a tit, i actually despise the man.

oh and they are gonna tour too, they better come here or i will cry.

AHH I CAN'T WAIT. 2009 IS TOO FAR AWAY.

stam with a speaking part in a big commercial. awesome (despite the whole stoned valley girl thing)

yeah, so i saw like my IDOL since the age of 6 on tuesday and it was beyond amaze. like words can't even describe how amaze it was. every song (bar 'yummy' which was only on for like a minute but i loved her little chef outfit) was excellent, so good i even sang along to 'luxurious'! ;o i've come to the conclusion that i quite like it without slim thuggggg.but yeah, anyway, during 'breakin' up' she ran through the crowd and got up on a barrier like 5 feet away from me, like she was so close (pics below), THEN she only sang like my FAVOURITE solo song, 'cool' right there. 5 feet away from me. i think at that point i died and went to heaven. omg. then we got to sing happy birthday to her ^_^. oh and yeah during 'oc girl' when she mentioned lamb this picture...



...came up on the big massive screen. it was almost as if she knew. i love you gwen <3.
