do my eyes deceive me?! is that jessica stam circa s/s 2004?

after some thought i've decided that i dislike the first picture, i don't think either du or jessica look good but the second is the most exciting stam has looked (editorial-wise) since numéro 87. the second picture is like 2004 good, i'm talking meisel glory days here. this is the total opposite of when jessica did armani for f/w 2006/7, where she looked the height of femininity. i can't wait to see more, i do like me some androgynous stam.

oh and just one more thing: NO MORE HOLLINS ♥♥♥. i'd like to thank everyone who was involved in getting fewer pages of hollins in my magazines; mert alas & marcus piggot, du and jessica and of course - giorgio armani in particular.

p.s. i'm working on an icon update. my inspiration grew legs and disappeared on me again but looking at these and natasha's latest eds i think we may be back in business.

guess who closed john galliano yesterday? ^_^ i'll give you a hint; her name begins with j and ends in essica stam. now, i hated her outfit but this is the first may-juh show she has closed since stella mccartney fall/winter 2007/8. that's too long.

oh john, were you inspired by ugly this season? and stam, what on earth are you doing with that arm?

so the show i was looking forward to the most by far this season didn't follow the recurring boring/disappointing/granny chic trend of fall 2008 by being completely amazing. the clothes were fun, YOUNG(!), cute and extremely colourful. again, the finale looks amazing. the more i look at the picture below the more impatient i become. i want to see the video for this now. in fact if you can find me one i will give you a hug. really:

amazing. everyone looks so cute. i, for one can't wait for stam and lily d bomz-ness.

so yeah, i know you are all still getting over the shocking news that sasha was a no show at prada yesterday and might not do the campaign this season. i can't picture anyone else in prada. sasha is just prada.

there is a bright side, if sasha isn't in the campaign this season, we finally get to see her do something different. we've never seen her potential as a campaign queen fully fufilled. anyway, below the cut is a sort of tribute/timeline of the girl who manages to make prada's fug clothes look gorgeous and wearable.


eta: sasha is just sick and will hopefully be well for paris. and maybe her prada contract is not through.. this post is kinda pointless now. oh well.
