somehow i managed to find a way to not neglect my lj by posting a mix i made last night.

i was inspired by air france's wonderful 'no way down ep' and tried to go for a dreamy electronic sound, which i think turned out quite well, but you'll be the judges of that haha.

and oh yeah i'll try to get an icon post up by the end of the month.

hi, it's been a while since i last posted a mix, i tried to go in a bit of a different direction.

i stayed away from the electronic stuff for one mix haha. i'll try to make this a weekly thing again.

do my eyes deceive me?! is that jessica stam circa s/s 2004?

after some thought i've decided that i dislike the first picture, i don't think either du or jessica look good but the second is the most exciting stam has looked (editorial-wise) since numéro 87. the second picture is like 2004 good, i'm talking meisel glory days here. this is the total opposite of when jessica did armani for f/w 2006/7, where she looked the height of femininity. i can't wait to see more, i do like me some androgynous stam.

oh and just one more thing: NO MORE HOLLINS ♥♥♥. i'd like to thank everyone who was involved in getting fewer pages of hollins in my magazines; mert alas & marcus piggot, du and jessica and of course - giorgio armani in particular.

p.s. i'm working on an icon update. my inspiration grew legs and disappeared on me again but looking at these and natasha's latest eds i think we may be back in business.

i've decided to begin to upload mixes regularly as it's fun to pass the time and i really should update this thing more often.

the first one i wanted to make is mostly a summer album, i wanted youthful and fun songs. it was kind of a coincidence that most of the songs were about love haha.

so someone's editorial work seems to be picking up again and i love v magazine for casting stam and lily together again. amazing.



cannot. wait. except homegirl kinda look terrifying in that picture. too pale and her eyes looked coked-up more than usual (i'm not saying she does coke, her eyes always looked like that) anyway, it's inspired by 'the women' and seems to  be another over-the-top campfest like last month's editorial. makes up for stam skipping the haute couture season again. totally. i guess. kinda. :/

nothing's new at the moment. same old, same old. went out on sunday and it was borrrring. adam said he had to get up early so he didn't think he could go and would text to let us know. he didn't and i found out he was at seamus' (jampot's new name) house. i guess that's what got me down that night. and everyone went home kinda early so i was stuck with eun and her bf sucking face. so i had to walk home by myself. wonderful.

it didn't rain for a whole two days! then.. uhh.. i woke up this morning and wanted to get sick looking at the weather. hate ireland.

so we finally have been given a date, no doubt's next studio album will be released in early 2009, EIGHT YEARS AFTER 'ROCKSTEADY'. that's like, half of my life. far too long. solo gwen has her moments and everything ('cool' and 'the real thing' are two of my favourite songs ever) but she never matches up to no doubt. now that they appear to be working on it i can really get excited for this.

it's hard to predict what it'll sound like but i'm praying that gwen's pregnancy will inspire her to write something similar to 'return of saturn' *cough*perhaps similar to the prefection that is magic's in the makeup*cough* ^_^. it'll probably be a mix of ska and 'rocksteady' though. or who knows? they could be trying a totally new direction. either way, i'm totally biased and i'll end up loving it anyway, i mean i managed to love 'hollaback girl' for like, a week. speaking of ear rapes i hope pharell williams and gwen had a falling out, i really, really do. yeah 'hella good' was all kinds of fabulous but 'yummy' and 'breakin' up' were crimes against music. he's such a tit, i actually despise the man.

oh and they are gonna tour too, they better come here or i will cry.

AHH I CAN'T WAIT. 2009 IS TOO FAR AWAY.
